FIGMENT Baltimore is a free day-long celebration of creativity and participatory art. We welcome you to create, share, think, and dream with us!
FIGMENT is a forum for the creation and display of participatory and interactive art by emerging artists across disciplines. FIGMENT began in July 2007 as a free, one-day participatory arts event on Governors Island in New York Harbor with over 2,600 participants. Since then, FIGMENT has grown significantly each year in number of projects, duration, participants, volunteers, fundraising capability, exhibitions, locations, overall level of commitment and participation, and public support.
Carroll Park is looking beautiful, and the weather is looking gorgeous! And, FIGMENT Baltimore's Artists and Volunteers are ready to share their art, creativity, and music. If you need directions to Carroll Park, check out the GETTING THERE link above. When you arrive, just follow the signs. We will be in the South end of the park in the cool of the shade. Parking is available in the park on the sides of the roads, but please observe signage. If you have any questions or need more information, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. See you soon!!!
A great big thanks to all who attended our fundraiser at the Blue Pit BBQ on April 25. Not only did we make substantial progress towards reaching our funding goals, we got to meet with a lot of Baltimore folks who want to get involved with FIGMENT! Also, a HUGE thank you to Kara and Dave at Blue Pit BBQ for helping to organise this event and creating the wonderful cocktails that were such a big hit!
Join us for some creative cocktails and an opportunity to meet with the Baltimore Figment Event Team. Find out about getting involved with your art, special skills, good energy or whatever you want to bring to this year's event. Stay tuned for more details!
